I am doing the 8 week olympic training program and was wondering on days when I'm suppossed to do all three is it meant to be a brick work out or can I break it up. Thanks

From what little I can tell from the brief intro into the plan it looks like you just need to get the three work outs in. Not necessarily a triathlon. However, I know me. 3 separate workouts in one day would be a struggle.

I haven't seen a whole lot of plans that call for all three in one day that often. But, the person that wrote that plan is much smarter than me.

I would recommend doing what feels best for you. No one training plan works for everyone. It will do you no good if you end up overextending yourself and getting a injury that could compromise further training and gains.

I personally would attempt to do them consecutively but take a break between each one as needed. Listen to your body, if the bike wears you down, going out on the run totally exhausted will net you no gains in fitness. At the same time, you want some intensity, you want to suffer abit, you want it to challenge you.

More then anything, just make it happen!

If your plan is calling for 3 in one day, you should swim separate. Then do a bike run as a brick.
