So I removed this crank arm and installed a stages pm. I was able to remove crank arm and install the stages pm. The only issue is the hex socket bit is stuck in the remove crank arm. I did not cram it in there in order to install the crank arm but now it will not come out. any ideas?

Forget it. A few gentle taps with a hammer got it out.

I was going to suggest a rubber mallet, but glad you got it free.

Thanks. It didn't take much to get it loose. I accidentally used a hex socket bit one size too big and even though it fit and worked I guess once it was under strain it wedged itself in there.

The proper size socket applies force primarily to the face of the nut where one larger applies force primarily to the corners.  Always good to make sure it's the right size including SAE/Metric before applying force.  Stuck sockets and rounded corners often result.

yes^

All modern bikes(15years or more) use metric fasteners! Get some metric tools or buy a basic bike maintenance tool box.

The $50 tool kit will have everything you need to tear your bike down and put it back together.
