Hello BT! Good morning!

5:00am:  :40 minute run with some intervals in the middle

5:45am:  :40 minute upper body strength

Later...heading out to Blue for an OWS

No CC runners to chase this week--I had to get my oldest off to yet another camp this morning and tomorrow hubby and I (child free until Friday!!!) are heading up to Park City for the week.  So excited to get on some single track mountain bike trails and getting some elevation running in as well.

Have a great day!

Rest day for me, and it's my taper week. Sunday is my first race since my wreck last year. Getting excited.

Have a great day!

Back to work today, with a short bicycle commute and planning about a half hour run at lunchtime.

sounds like a fun week planned Kim! Kid free is always so nice :-)!

6:15am - core/flexibility class 45 min
7am - 55 min spin

8am - 1.5 mile run

9:30am - 45 min spin

I've covering for another instructor all week at another gym so my Monday/Wednesday/Friday will be a little different.

Steve- good luck with the race

I had a nice 25 mile ride. I am getting faster but still very slow. I am trying to ride a lot for a few days because I am taking the family to the Dominican Republic for a week on Wednesday. I am counting on running on the beach and swimming in the ocean.

Have a good week everyone.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

I have been able to swim 200-300 yards without stopping for the past couple of weeks, but this morning I couldn’t swim more than 50. Could not eating make a big differance?

This is not an easy task, especially for the “9-to-5er” with family. But you can do it – all without sacrificing your marriage, job or family.

Once you caught your breath, it occurred to you that finishing even a short triathlon might be harder than you thought. After a few "laps" you thought, "I can't believe I'm so out of shape."
