Subject: Training for first tri just need a better bike
I have found this bike on Craigslist and was just wonder what your guys opinion on it was and if this was a good price. I do not know a lot about road bikes but have researched some on them. I don't want to spend a ton of money but the guy selling this said he would sell it for 400$. Any input?

In regards to the Trek 1.2 - nice entry level bike.  Should last for years.  At $400 I think that's a pretty good deal, assuming it's in good, safe working condition.  I think that thing retailed around $1K new.  You can look up the specs on bikepedia or I bet Trek still has the brochures, you'll just have to match the pictures and paint job to the year.

Now the real (and most important) question - will it fit you?  A great deal on a bike is useless if it is uncomfortable to ride.
