Good morning BT!

7:30am:  45 minutes upper body strength stuff

Now...heading out for a trail run with the doggies

Later:  totally clearing out my workout room and ripping up the carpet, baseboards.  We're replacing the carpet with that foam 'gym floor' type stuff.  Pretty excited even though I'll lose my gym for a few days!  That carpet has soaked up an ocean full of sweat and tears (ok, that's kind of gross! lol!)

Have a great day!  Sunday racers--rest rest rest!  Can't wait to hear how you do!

The gym floor is a good idea! The carpet around my bike when it's set up on the trainer takes a beating, even with all the mats and towels! I bet it will look fantastic Kim!

6:30am - 5.5 mile run. I was at a stoplight and started talking to a couple triathletes that had another hour to ride. I had one of my race tshirts on so figured it was the conversation starter. Only us crazy training folks out when it's over 90 degrees before 7am.

Debating getting on the trainer to spin out the legs. Pretty fatigued from the week so we will see.

Good luck to all the racers tomorrow!

Pretty easy day for me. I tried to get my run in before it got too hot and muggy, but I failed. Since my horrendous time in the run last weekend, I decided it was time to work on speed a bit. So I started out by running one mile as fast as I could. Two days later I did 1.05 miles, and today was 1.10 miles. The next race I am eyeing is Labor Day weekend, so hopefully this will help out.

After I got back and cooled off a bit with some iced tea, I did my normal 2 minute plank followed by my new normal 22 pushups.

This afternoon may find me at the Y for a longer, slower run on the indoor track.

Tomorrow is a training session with our Tri club (NWI Triathletes). It's supposed to be 20 minutes open water swim, 40 minutes bike and a 20 minute run.

Have a great day everyone!

easy swim of 1100yds @ 5:30 this morning

6:45 I decided on a 5 mile easy run. walked 1/2 a mile then did 1/4 mile on/offs, and ended up going 10 miles. I feel okay, but Dr said don't push it until all the antibiotics are gone. Hard headed I suppose. Now the top of my right foot is aching. gonna ice it down a few more times today.

have a good day!

Shortie run for me tonight, around 2.5 miles to my favorite spring fed pool for some night swimming!

Feeling confident and cocky, after finally losing some weight, I got off my back side and into triathlon.
