Good morning BT!

Well, not what I had planned this morning.  I was planning on doing a lovely 6 mile run in the gorgeous early morning air but woke up with a funky stomach.  Settled for a short walk, upper body strength stuff, and some stretching.  We all have our off days, right?

Karen, that sounds like exactly what I'm looking for out of a coach. I know I am not pushing myself to the best of my abilities, and like you, I'm tired of piece mealing together a plan for myself.  I'm so excited to get started!

Cross country meet today...finally a relatively flat course, excited to see what my runners can do--they've been working so hard for me.

Have a great day!

Hope you feel better and XC meet goes well. Monday was kind of one of those days for me. First I managed to get a cramp in my hamstring getting into a taxi on Sunday, which bothered me until yesterday, and then we had the whole rain apocalypse thing that cut my swim to 675m and made getting home into a death-defying journey. Finally I was just happy to lie on the couch and get some work done.

By contrast, good training day today, but I have all this work to do and can't do it as the school network is down. Not sure if this is common practice in the US, but a lot of the feedback I give on writing is through the Google platform (the kids only print to do a final proofread and publish). It's very rare that I take home papers, except for math tests, as it's all online. We'd been told the blog platform would be down tonight to prepare for a conference, but not the whole network. Grrrr..... Anyway, I may be WAY behind on work now, but at least I got in two workouts. I guess this is the nice thing about triathlon--even if a day is a total wash otherwise, you can feel like you accomplished SOMETHING!

AM: Easy 48 minute run. Thank goodness, my hamstring has finally stopped cramping!
PM: 2600m of swimming, mostly drills and technique work. Good there weren't any really hard sets as I am SO sore from strength training yesterday--abs and triceps really got a workout! I understand the rationale for not doing ST during peak race season (particularly for a luckless klutz like me), but it always feels like I'm completely starting over when I start again!

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.
