What smart phone does everyone use?

I am debating between the 7 and 7 plus. For everyday, the larger screen of the plus would be a bonus for me, but I am afraid that it will just be too big to run with.

Of course, I could go without a phone, but I do like the safety blanket of having it with me.

I have the 7 plus and love the bigger screen. It fits well in the pocket of my bike jersey, but I don't usually try to run with it. When I do run outdoors, I usually stay in my neighborhood so I have much lower chance of needing the phone. I have a belt that I can put it in if I'm going longer or am away from home, but due to the weight it tends to bounce around no matter how tight/loose I make the belt.

If non-iPhone is an option I've always liked the Samsung Galaxy devices and it has the internal ANT+ so there are a few cool apps that can go right from your GSC/Footpod/Whatever right to your phone without any plug in devices.

If you don't have a Garmin bike computer there is an Android (And iPhone) app called ipBike that is pretty great for a free app. It works well with a Samsung because of the integral ANT+ sensor, so you can just throw it on a mount and do a full trainer ride (you can input workouts in the app) and not have to run through any other devices.

I run with an Iphone 6 and just hold it. I have small hands (not getting political) and I really noticed a difference when I moved from 5s to 6 but now I'm used to it. I can see moving the the plus size and feeling comfortable holding it.

I don't like wearing arm bands and stuff like that. I've thought about the Apple Watch and may go with that in the future which would allow leaving the phone at home but I also listen to podcasts and audible when I run.

I use a Garmin for training, not a smart phone. But if your looking for a good phone, Android OS, plus the most secure phone on the market Blackberry has the Dtek50 in the low-mid range, and the Dtek60 mid range.

They are a very versatile phone, the one criticism of Blackberry over the years was the poor camera...they've fixed that for sure.

The Dtek50 is light, thin and more than enough guts in it to do what you want.

In the States:

In Canada:

I avoid Apple products like the plague....unsecure, expensive...egads.....

Galaxy S4 still works perfectly. I have to pop off my otterbox to use my armband when running, but it's worth it. I believe it was the first in the S line with Ant+
