Good morning BT!

5:00am:  3 mile run

5:30am:  :40 minutes lower body strength/core

So I should have started my run at 4:30am--however one of my CC runners told me about a documentary on Netflix called The Barkley Marathons--The Race That Eats Its Young.  I thought I'd watch it while I ran on the TM--however I literally stood there for 25 minutes mesmerized from the get go.  I decided this is a trainer worthy documentary (1:30 in the length) so I'm saving it up.  Can't wait to restart it and watch the whole thing through in one sitting (or spinning I should say).

Have a great day out there BT!

5:30 - easy 30' ride. The mostly full moon helped light my way (of course, I had lights on my bike, too), but riding in the dark is just a different animal. My roads are okay but not great, so I had to go fairly cautiously. Plus side is that it forced me to go a bit easier, and I'm supposed to do nothing but easy stuff this month.

Have a great day!

That sounds like quite a title......Reminds me of the time I had just finished Crater Lake marathon in super-hot conditions and someone was giving out copies of a book called, "Marathon and Beyond: Into the Valley of Death". I started laughing so hard I fell over!

2:43 worth of very hillyand bumpy MTB riding today with two intenational teachers working in Vientiane, also on fall break. I hit my 200th hour of cycling this year today. Only the second time I've done that and 2014 it didn't happen until about noon on December 31st! Somehow I ended 2015 with 197 hours and change. How did that happen?? Anyhow, hereis the celebratory picture. (So glad I found a ride today and this didn't take place on the trainer!)

Badass picture HR!!I'm in Venice for the week, and have started running around the narrow streets early in the morning. Some streets are so narrow that you don't have to reach far to touch both walls at the same time. I already slipped on the wet Venetian marble and almost ended up right in the drink!

I'm going to let you in on how to get faster by doing nothing. Well, not exactly nothing, but you won't have to raise your heart rate, put out 300 watts, or really even break a sweat.

I quickly browsed an article in Men's Health that talked about doing a triathlon, and how it wasn't really that hard. With a "tsk!" I quickly turned the page while thinking, "Yeah, right!"
