I need some advice on planning next year. How do I find races?

I would like to start planning next year out, so I get the most out of my training plans with the goal of doing at least 1 event per month in some shape, form, or size. But- it's the end of the year, and so I cannot find any race information for next year.

Are races generally the same week every year - give or take a weekend?
Does anybody have a good ideas or best practice they would like to share to help me out?
Thanks ahead of time

Tracy

I usually look in either trifind or running in the USA. Most races will be the same weekend as the prior year.

i usually find races on running in the usa website.

right now it will project when it thinks the race will be but it won't be a clickable link.

Be sure to decide which races are going to be your A, B, & C. Hard to peak for them all.

Had a member on here NC48282730(something) that did a bunch of races last year maybe he can chime in with some solid advise.

Quick search on running in the usa shows 147 Texas races next year. Did no go through all of the pages but hyperlinks on the 3 I did click on took me to functioning race sites.

http://www.runningintheusa.com/Race/List.aspx?Rank=All&State=TX&Spe...

Shows 26 on trifind.

This was a very crude search but went back to verify and it shows the same. Being in NC you should have all the quality events you need in Setup events, right? I used to live in Southport and miss that series of races.
