Good morning!

4:30am:  :35 minute run--10 minute WU/6X15sec incline sprints at 5,6,7% grade with 2-3 min rest in between. It was harder than it looks!!

5:15am:  :40 min 5X5 upper body strength

After school:  :55 on the trainer, cadence work

So my coach has noticed something weird with my FTP tests.  My bike test shows a normal threshold but my run threshold HR is extremely low...he's going to do some thinking but I'm feeling like another run test is in my future

Have a great day!

Sorry to hear that about the run testing, although my coach has me retest every 6 weeks or so anyway.

This am was 2800 yard pool swim.

Have a great Tuesday!

11:40 - 55' of strength. Tried to do some squats on the BOSU - let's just say I ended up switching to squats on the floor.

Have a great day!

That is odd....I think for most people the run HR is a bit higher. I know my HR is really affected by the temperature when I did the test--might be true in your case as well. People usually do the bike test indoors on a trainer--at this time of year, it might be quite a bit warmer than temps outside. (For me it's the opposite--I think all but one of my FTP tests have been in temps at least 73-75; runs have been in the 80's or even 90's.) I think that flattens out the difference between HR in my case. Bike is about 5-8 BPM lower than run. Hard to compare tests done in different conditions.

Workday brick for me yesterday @ 4:45 AM (ugh, but better than FTP test)

1:05 trainer ride with a bunch of high-cadence and then high-resistance pickups
25 minute brick run after bike
