Subject: Bike poll/survey for a research paper
I'm currently working on a research paper about the use of 3D printing and bikes for one of my college writing classes. One of the ways I'm collecting data is through an anonymous poll/survey with a few questions on your level of cycling and different bike factors. If you could take a minute to answer the few questions that would be great! Thank you!

Too bad. I just printed my first test parts for a bike project yesterday.
I'm trying to make a 'frame' attachment for my top tube.
Not sure what I'll attach to it. Some sort of home grown bento or other storage....with a Garmin mount?'
Maybe interchangeable storage. One for short ride. One for long ride?

I tried to use some cheap photogrammetry to get the dimensions. That failed miserably being that I was just using my phone.
So I tried a contour gauge, and then 'traced' the profile onto a sheet of paper. Then used some splines in The Gimp to create a live trace...that I could import and then recreate sketching some splines in my CAD software. I got one dimension close enough that a tweak or two would be good. The other part needs a little more work.

I'm about as hooked on 3d printing as I am tri.

And, actually...I think there's a small cottage industry there.

I am going to try and 3d print a gel flask holder for my top tube. I am pretty green working with solidworks, but have also started using Blender. I have access to some high quality 3d scanners, so hopefully I can get a good starting point with that rather than drafting some of the contours,
