Good morning BT!

Heading out for a long mountain bike ride about 25 miles west of me--the hunters around here call the area 'Collar and Elbow' and it's amazing.  Can't wait to get out there again!  It's another beautiful day in the desert.

Karen...the combo of IM training and end of year craziness is just, well, crazy!

Mitzi...sorry to hear you're struggling with a teenage daughter--I have a 17 year old myself.  Hope things get better!

Have fun out there today everyone, whatever you're up to today!

Hello! Hope the ride was fun - sounds like it'll be (was) a blast.

I've been sleeping in, still not really recovered from the fun and time difference from vacation. Although, compared to Jamie, sounds like I've got it pretty easy.

7:50 - 50' run at 70% effort. It felt great when going against the wind. With the wind, it was a bit hot.

Have a great day!

3:15 trainer ride with a bunch of pickups around HIM effort (about 1:35 total), and a 35-minute brick run after. Bunch of schoolwork.

Plus add to that a 10:30 PM "knock on the door" by the police, supposedly checking resident permits. Not normally done in the States unless you have actually done something wrong; here it's pretty routine. Actually, ringing the doorbell--32 times before I gave up and got up to deal with it. They know someone's home at that hour on a Sunday night; anyway they would just come back the next night if I didn't answer, and that would be worse.) I'd been asleep for two hours already. Then couldn't get back to sleep till after midnight. Ugh.

Now on to today--swim workout but I have to stay at work till 8:30 for a concert. That is bedtime!

Sorry about the issue with the police - but I know Vietnam is a beautiful place.

Did a 1.8 mile run. Can't wait for the training to kick in and it feels easier, or at least I'm going longer and faster and sweating like a pig. Went to swim but the lanes were packed. Did some half laps and back focusing on form, to avoid diving board on other side of pool. I'm an awful swimmer, but think that my TI lessons are helping.

11 mi treadmill run, a bit shorter than I wanted but overall a good solid week for me.

THis week will be a struggle. I am going to chaperone my son to 5th grade camp Wednesday thru Friday. So Monday and Tuesday will be super long work days to get everything caught up then we leave early Wednesday. THese are the weeks I usually fall apart so hoping to keep it somewhat together.

Happy Memorial Day Peeps!
