Transition 1
What would you do differently?: I had trouble with my wetsuit, gloves, and generally took too long in T1. A faster T1 (i.e. 2min flat or 90 seconds) would have increased my rank be 3 places Bike
Transition 2
Comments: This was a solid transition due to the size and shape of the transition zone. What would you do differently?: The fastest T2 in the race was 1 min flat, so I have room for improvement, but there wasn't much that felt slow in T2. Run
Comments: I got stuck by a draw bridge along with about 20+ other people. I only lost about 30 seconds. I'm not sure how it impacted everyone else's race, but I think it allowed me to catch a lot of people much earlier in the race. A few of the guys at the bridge finished +5 to 15 seconds of my time and I don't know how long they waited at the bridge. What would you do differently?: No major changes, but based on my final 500m I could have run a little harder throughout the 10km. I had a little too much left in the tank for a finishing sprint to say i gave it all i had during the run. Post race
Warm down: Little warm down... A bit of walking and a nice stretch session later in the afternoon Event comments: TRI Amsterdam was a great race, even more so for an inaugural edition. The Amsterdamse Triathlons organization puts on very well organized events and creates a nice environment for spectators. Last updated: 2017-06-16 12:00 AM
