The thing is,  I don't think very many people's nerves are exposed at all.  I look around and what I see is everybody just going to work, taking care of their families, and going about their lives.  It's the same thing that happened before the election when a small group of people were making a lot of noise.....and we all know how that ended up.  There's nothing new.  About 5% of the people on both ends are jumping up and down.....the rest of us don't have time for stupid.  If this keeps up, expect the same result in 4 years......when the rest of the people quietly use their voice.

I'm staying out of all this rally nonsense. I'm just going to stomp my feet and hold my breath until things go my way.

No, I dont think its politics as normal as much as it is the 24 hour news cycle as normal. They need something to talk about, this phony outrage of the extremes on both sides fuels the cycle.

I'm pretty damn outraged that we ran our trot lines this morning and only ended up with about 70 lbs. of fish......damn Democrats.

You know, personally, I don't think President Obama screwed things up any more than Presidents Bush, Clinton, Bush, or Trump did/will. In fact, I can't tell one bit of difference in my life from one to another. I think a lot of people just enjoy walking around with their panties bunched up.

Yeah, I keep going back to that dumpster fire reference from another post. It's been simmering through several administrations. News coverage of said fire has just been better under this admin than others. I wonder if Trump calling out 'fake news' might be driving some of that coverage? Hmmm...
