Subject: 10.6.17 Fabulous Friday!

Good morning!

Off day for me but walked two miles on the treadmill.  Towards the end I jogged a bit to test out the ankle--it felt fine, now my concern is my back--that's what felt tweaky, which I've never felt before when I run.  I suspect because I essentially landed on my back when I fell off the horse last weekend that I bruised the lower part, that's what hurts.  Tomorrow will be my first real run in a week, hoping the back is fine. That's something I definitely don't want to mess around with.

Steve...funny you mention North Dakota--I grew up in Bismarck and went to college in Fargo, lol!  When you do plan your run there, go in the summer.  The rest of the year it's winter!  I could never move back there due to that kind of cold.

Crossing my fingers for a great meet today!

5:50 - easy 30 minute run. I feel way out of shape.

Ouch--probably the fall. I did that once when some drunk girls hit me on a motorbike here while I was stopped on my bike at a stoplight. That kind of bruising takes a few weeks, sometimes up to a month, to get back to normal. It's kind of a bony part of the body for most people. Too bad you didn't land on your butt instead--I kept thinking that at the time!

3100m of swimming here. Had to do it at 6 AM due to HS practices. Just not feeling the love. Felt weak, cramps, and nauseous. Girl stuff plus maybe poor choice of pre-workout snack, and my body just doesn't like morning swims--my back always feels tight then.

PM: 30 minutes of strength stuff. To top off all my other issues, I think I have managed to strain a muscle (doing core work) in an area I didn't even know people had muscles in. Will leave that to the reader's imagination.

Ouchies, sorry to hear about the fall. Wishing you a fast recovery.

Tonight was a 3.5m run, spent a mile of it on the beach in deep soft sand with dunes to really kick the HR. On top of having spicy Thai food just a few hours prior for lunch, ah the burn, lol

Yesterday was my first pool workout in a couple months. Only got in about 1,400 yards before my ankle started giving me pain. It was getting late and I was fatigued so I figured better call it good before I over extend myself and end up on the injured list.
