At this point I think I would run in any weather.....if I could run pain-free! Hope your back and ankle are feeling better.
Kind of a "make it up as you go along" type workout here:
AM: 48 minutes of biking on the stationary in the hotel fitness room. Mostly Z2 with a little Z3
(high-cadence pickups
). The fitness room is actually quite nice but there's only one bike and it's a recumbent. The new position wasn't making my butt muscles too happy so I cut it short a bit.
Then 25 minutes of strength stuff. They didn't have 6 kg weights, which was kind of a mess. 4 kg is too light for a lot of things, and 8 too heavy.
(I know, I am a creampuff.
) Quite sweaty as a Korean dude came in, insisted on turning off the AC, then did a very intense interval workout on the treadmill. Training for a hot race, I guess.
PM: Went to the "beach" at Sentosa and swam for 30-ish minutes. The surf was kind of high and there's one stretch that's not sheltered like the rest of the bay
(which is blocked by an island
) so I got some "roller coaster" practice.
Honestly, I think the shopping wore me out more than the workouts! New goggles, fitted bed sheets
(crazy expensive in Saigon--cheaper here
), KT tape, jeans, some winter tops for Mom, and a pair of winter PJ's for home. There is a chain here
(and elsewhere in Asia but not Vietnam--in the US only a few stores in the Bay Area
) where I can always find things that fit, unlike anywhere in Saigon or the US, so pretty much everything that's not tailor-made or from some market is from there. I'm reliably size M. Thank you, Uniqlo!
I need the PJ's for the hotel--fierce room AC and it can't be adjusted! I guess this is what all the "winter" stuff in the stores now is for.
