Subject: 10.13.17 Beware Friday the 13th!

Good morning BT!  

4:45am:  :30 minute run with short intervals focusing on form, stride, etc

5:15am:  strength + stretching

The CC meet went well yesterday, one of my boys medaled in top 10 so pretty happy with that. Another finally ran sub 19--he's been setting that as his goal each race and finally hit it, always awesome when an athlete hits his/her goal!

Hey there. Great news about the cc meet. Today, 20 years later, I still easily remember pretty much every moment of the race the first time I broke a barrier in a cc meet (sub 18). Hope he really enjoys his accomplishment!

5:45 - easy 44' run. Treated myself to an enormous caramel mocha on the way to work.

Hey--no cat racism! I had a black kitty for 17 years, and never noticed I was any unluckier at that time than the rest of my life--not sayin' much, but still...

Not much here--just a one-hour trainer ride with some high-cadence pickups. Might get back to some more structured bike workouts next week. Not sure what I'm training for at this point, but I'm in decent bike shape after last season and reluctant to give that up--it doesn't come easily to me. If/when I can start running again it is going to be a real battle to get that back, so it would be nice if I wasn't starting from way down on the bike as well.

More thunderstorms and heavy rain last night. Rainy season has really, really outstayed its welcome. At least we have not had the catastrophic flooding that the central and northern areas of the country have gotten over the past week.
