Subject: 10.25.17 What Up Wednesday!

Good morning BT!

4:30am:  :50 minutes on the trainer, intervals

5:30am:  upper body strength + stretching

Parent/Teacher conferences today--going to be a loooong day!  However, it's my Friday!  We leave for Divisionals tomorrow!  I don't know who's more nervous, me or my team.  It's going to be one hell of a race & we're defending Divisional Champions!

*Oh...thinking about signing up for a 50K trail race in June...

Six mile run this morning with weight/core training afterwards.

Good luck on the divisional race Kim.

I wish I could plan something like the 50K trail race but my knee has limited my long runs. It is a shame because I really enjoyed the long runs.

We had our conferences last Thursday and Friday--similar epic days. Yesterday one hour trainer ride (I'm doing a modified version of Jorge's winter cycling plan on this site to try to keep up bike fitness with some high Z3 repeats,, and 2500m of easy swimming after work.

Not sure what I am keeping in shape for at this point--I'm registered for Challenge Wanaka in February and have the travel arranged so at least will try to do the swim and bike--but the idea of also having to regain swim and bike fitness is just too horrible to think about. Some improvement but I think I am still a ways from being able to run. I have an appt. today and trying to get a referral for an MRI, but it's not the doc I thought it was. No idea who I'm dealing with now or what qualifications he has. Hope it's not one of those, "Just don't run." types. Our track/XC season starts in three weeks--not sure how I'm going to coach if I still can't run. If on the road I could just follow on a bike, but our practices are on the school field!
