how do you factory reset the garmin 920xt?

Veteran  485   Elmira, ON |  Subject: how do you factory reset the garmin 920xt?I've searched online and the process doesn't seem to work. It says to hold the mode and enter button at the same time. I'm assuming the mode button is the ... button. Well no factory reset. What am I doing wrong? I need to start fresh with this thing. No help I can fiknd on youtube or anything. |

Recently had to do this and read on some forum that you might have to hold the buttons for 30-45 seconds, way longer than you think. I’ve re set before and only had to hold for a few seconds, but this last time it was 45 seconds or so. You might try that. |

Same deal with the Fenix 2 - had to hold it a LOOOONGG time for it to do the reset. Now why we all seem to have to do factory resets on our Garmins is another question altogether... |

I can't remember where I read that instruction but it works. |
