Good morning BT!  Here's to another healthy week!

Off day here...and let me tell you after yesterday's adventure, I needed it!

My younger daughter Olivia decided to join me on the hike to Hawk Watch yesterday so the two of us plus the dog squad took off around 11am.  To the west I could see some pretty dark clouds and my husband mentioned there was a storm coming later in the day but we were heading south so in my mind, I wasn't too worried.  The hike up to Hawk Watch starts around 7000 ft. The further up the mountain we got we began seeing snow dustings from previous snow, thought that was pretty cool.  Around 8200 feet we started getting snowed on--but it was fantastic, not cold, just beautiful, so up we went.  Well, we get to camp at 9,000 feet and realized we were in a full blown blizzard--winds, snow, etc.  We kind of poked around camp a bit and then decided we needed to head down. In the short time we were at camp a good 3-4 inches of snow fell totally covering the single track trail! The dogs somehow instinctively knew the trail, switch backs and all, so we basically had to follow them all the way down.  Liv was having a blast, but there was a 15 minutes span when we were in thick snow and winds that I was honestly scared we would get lost--everything looked so different covered in snow.  But, we made it down just fine--a little cold and wet, but safe and sound!  I kept having visions of all the "I Survived" episodes I've seen of people lost in snow storms.  I can totally see how that could happen.  So, quite an adventure yesterday...I'm good on adventures for a while!  Lol!

Have a great day BT!

That sounds like something out of The Fellowship of the Ring (minus the dogs).

11:30 - 1,350 yards, with 1,050 being kick sets. I did a FTP test yesterday, so this was . . . not enjoyable.

Have a good day, BT.

Yikes--glad you made it back safely! Will be honest--I don't miss snow. Cool weather, yes, but not the wet white stuff.

Just 45 minutes of strength stuff here. Track was cancelled as we had YET ANOTHER ill-timed rainstorm (right before track); fields have been saturated for weeks, so the water just pools on top. (We don't have an actual track.) We should be on Practice #7; we've had a grand total of two. Maybe we should just give up on sports, buy a few water buffalo, and plant rice instead!

Then the pool was closed due to lightning nearby, until it was too late to start a workout. So hit the weight room with a lot of other people hoping to get in some kind of workout. Ugh. About to "run" (such as it is) and hoping for better pool karma after work.

Oh man that sounds awesome. Did you get any good pictures? While you were in a blizzard I was running 4 miles in shorts and no shirt. Still 83 frigging degrees down here!!
