Subject: RE: 12.6.17 What's up Wednesday! Weather held and we did get in a practice yesterday. I was able to have cross-country tryouts. Now we have maybe...six practices to get ready, with a 3-week break in the middle! Just kind of a washout, literally. At least the more committed kids will probably keep in shape over break (most have parents who are runners ), but I don't think our team prospects look too good. Just don't have five strong kids who are willing to run 2 km! (Two of the top five boys in the tryout said they didn't want to run XC. I guess just running 1 km scared them off! ) Girls a bit better but I'm not sure there's enough depth.
AM: 1:05 trainer ride with 2 X 20 minutes at HIM pace. Not too hard. But I am fantastically out of shape for max effort stuff.
PM: 45 minutes of strength stuff. The "trophy wife" routine. (Joke between me and a colleague, because this workout takes so long! )
