Subject: RE: 1.17.18 What's Up Wednesday! Good morning BT! 5:20am: 8-1/2 mile run. Most of it fast, some of it slow. Kim, My family doesn't roll there eyes anymore with the races I do on vacation. After spending 20 years trying to trick my brother who is 8 years younger than me that he should be a runner like his two older brother I got him to fill in on all cousins Ultra Ragnar Relay Team 2-1/2 years ago when someone got injured. He liked it so much that he wanted me to travel out to Logan, Utah to do the Wasatch Back with him 8 months later. I was kinda booked for travel but we had a family reunion in the Logan Area several weeks before the Wasatch back so I looked at the race scheduled and their was a Sprint/Double Sprint Triathlon in Logan one of they days during the reunion, so I signed up for a Relay. We tricked my Dad into doing the Swim Leg for us, my brother did the bike leg and I ran. The year after that my other brother (who has been running competitively since he was 8 years and red shirt his freshman year of college on the Oklahoma State Track team) got us to do the Ragnar Cape Cod and stay at his in-laws place on the Cape. This year my wife started things off by giving me a list of places that she wanted to visit on Vacation and asked me if there were any races I could do in any of the locations so that she could come along and sleep in while I was being craze then go sight seeing when I was done. Enjoy your woman's half Marathon. |
