Subject: 1.22.18 Good morning BT! Happy Monday! First day of 2nd semester...hard to believe! 4:45am: :30 minute walk/recovery run 5:15am: Upper body + core So I wanted an adventure yesterday and I got one! I ventured 25 miles south up into the mountains on a dirt road following some truck tracks--realized there was much more snow than I bargained for so 'tried' to turn around, slid into the ditch and got good and stuck. No cell service. I realized the only thing to do was to get my running gear on and run back down towards the highway where I could get cell service. I was about to start off when I head a noise behind me, turned around and here comes a Basque sheep herder on a dirt bike that had been out checking the flock. With his zero English and my limited Spanish I figured out he wanted me to wait right there and he'd be back 'un momento'. 10 minutes later here he comes in a huge water tanker and pulls me right out. Hugs and many many muchas gracias from me and I was on my way running--the only trail I had to follow in the 4-5 inches of snow was his dirt bike trail. Ended up being a gorgeous run. Have a great day! PS...Karen that is a HUGE cat!!! Edited by ingleshteechur 2018-01-22 7:37 AM
