Run
Comments: I think I ran this very, very nicely. My pace was better than expected and I was able to hold it. I started further up in the pack this time, which was helpful, though a bit demoralizing at first when all sorts of people started to pass me. What would you do differently?: Not psyche myself out at the beginning. Since I was getting passed so much, I got really down on myself right away and only perked up when I saw my first mile split. Perhaps I should wear a watch so I can pace myself better. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit. Had a banana, some orange juice, a cookie. What limited your ability to perform faster: I think I need to do some interval training at the pace I want to run to help improve next time. This was fantastic for now, but if I want to go faster, some more detailed training than just going out and running is necessary. But hey, I'm forgetting that I dropped three minutes in just about three months of training. That's nothing to sneeze at. Last updated: 2006-09-10 12:00 AM
