I wanted to do at least the 1/2 in the Van Marathon, but my cousin is getting married that weekend in Wpg.

My Goal race for the season will be the Desert 1/2 Iron in Osoyoos, I'm going to do some other tri's as well and hopefully a couple of 10k's and a maybe a 1/2.

I just realized that I can not vote any more. Must be a glitch in my system...ME. Well Maybe we will have to come up with a thread just for naming races...Or something like that....

That 1st half sells out every year. Crazy.

So guys I may do a triathlon this year afterall. My friend Heidi wants to do the Delta Tri in April and for her motivation, I told her I would do it with her if she did it.

This doesn't mean that I will be running again. If I do it, the tri will be my first and last run of the year.

Anyway, I can't vote again, so I just thought that I'd let y'all know.

I'm in for:

- the 1st Half,
- either the UBC Sprint or Oly (haven't decided yet),
- the Sun Run,
- maybe the Vancouver International Half,
- possibly Squamish or something else,
- Kelowna Apple Try-a-Tri (want to smoke last year's time)
- possibly XTC
- possibly the Summerland tri
- who knows what else

Nothing's set in stone, except the 1st Half because I registered for it, the rest are all pretty open.

Geez, looking at that, it looks like a lot of race fees. Hmm. Maybe not all of them.

Most of the races I want to do are on the island and not on the list... here's what my 2007 is looking like:

- Sooke Spring Sprint
- Panorama Classic Triathlon
- Bike portion of New Balance 1/2 Iron
- Triathlon of Compassion
- Sri Chinmoy/Self Transcendence Oly
- Apple Triathlon - Oly

Umm.. and some various running races, too. A 5k or two, the TC 10k and the Royal Vic half mary or 8k (haven't decided yet).

Now that it's all in writing, it feels like a definite commitment....

Gulp.

congrats on getting in on the 1st Half - it sold out at 12:53 or something crazy like that!!

thanks doc, total fluke that I had enough time this morning to actually be screwing around on BT enough to catch that that registration was today

wouldn't have been heartbroken if I didn't, but figured it'll be good Sun Run training

No I'm just going to wing it. Seriously.

I ran the Sun Run last year after not running for a year and my time was about the same as my 10km PR. I can probably run 5km fine without running, I'll just be sore the next day.

Sorry Dan, I'm not a trier again.
