Subject: Heart Rate Strap Upside Down
Went for my LSD this morning and I accidentally had my heart strap the wrong way. I was looking down at my HR and at first it was 195 and then a minute later it was 82! I was wondering what the heck was going on inside of me. It was bouncing all over the place.

I finally looked at the strap and realized it. Thank goodness. I was really wondering if my body was changing HR so quickly.

Cheers

Huh...  weird.  I didn't know you could have it upside down.

I'm pretty sure I put mine on the same way every time.  But I think there was a time that I started wearing it upside down because it was rubbing.

My HR reading gets all wonky when the battery in my strap starts to die.

I have heard if your HRM stops working, Take the starp off and put the sensor part on your back and upside down and it may start working again.  I think you put it upside down for polarity or some kind of crazy nonsense.

But then again what do I know

You cant wear it upside down in the front.  Thats probably why it was freaking out.  Ive read in the manual (I think) that if you want the sensor on your back, then you have to wear it upside down then.

The Garmin, on the strap, was facing up instead of down. It wasn't getting an accurate reading. Once I flipped it over, with the Garmin signature down, it worked fine.

Might be something specific to the Garmin 305.

On a side note, it seems to lose the GPS signal too frequently. I would give it an 7 out of 10 stars.

Cheers
