It's not the calories in the Taco Bell food...it's the transfat!  I definitely run to eat!  The other night my husband said he's making lasagna for dinner....YUM!  So I went on a run before dinner.    Post run lasagna is the Best.Food.Ever.

Frozen? Au contraire... they must be toasted... and you have to break off the edges that don't have filling or frosting on them (why bother?).

As far as the "athlete's diet" goes... moderation is the key. Life's too short to deny yourself a treat every once in a while... so go on and make mine brown sugar

As long as they are not too sweet I dig their taste. They don't fill me up though.

They are all that my son will eat for breakfast.

Pop Tarts are super foods! They brought me back from the brink of death after my gallbladder surgery! (o.k. that might just be a little melodramatic! ) But pop tarts and peanut butter and jelly was the only food I could tolerate for about a week, so they ONCE AGAIN get my vote of approval!

This thread is amazing. I am so glad to hear that other athletes are fascinated with the pop tart goodies. I have been on the pop tart diet now for about 5 years. I usually only eat them for breakfeast. I like to take one hot fudge sundae pop tart and one chocolate fudge pop tart and make a sandwich with them. Of course, a thick layer of peanut butter is placed in between. Every morning I eat two or three packs like this. I will awaken at 4 AM sometimes dreaming about my pop tarts. They call my name and I cannot resist.

And yes, I know you have to eat lettuce and otmeal all the time to be a "true" endurance athlete, but I just cannot help myself. Food is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good. I exercise to stay healthy AND eat what I want. I feel so much better about life like that.

I know It's bad but I've been eating them every morning for breakfast for the past few weeks (I've been on a Pop tart kick recently). I love brown sugar cinnamon and apple strudel. The whole grain pop tarts are good too (at least they are kind of healthy!). YUM! At least pop tarts are better then Power bars. Those things are so disgusting.

They have trans fat, so I don't eat 'em.... however I eat organic poptarts before every race, LOVE them!!! Come in chocolate, strawberry, and cinnamon, so good!! 210 calories, 44 carbs, made with real fruit, I feel GOOD after eating one, or two....

All Hail Pop Tarts. I LOVE THEM to infinity and beyond... they're fabulous.... they're unbelievable.......ok, they're unhealthy.

They are great ANYTIME of day.

I was once stopped by customs going thru the airport in Toronto.... they searched my belongings, no biggie, ALL my bags, ok, my food, well ........... then THEY OPENED A FOIL PACK OF my POP TARTS......it took all the restraint I had not to unleash an a$$ whooping never seen on this continent before.

Did I mention I'm obsessed with Pop Tarts.

Check the sig !
