I just got this email and thought I would post it here....Sounds like it will be a good workout:

GARLAND LIFE TIME FITNESS

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 18th, 2007

(first wave starts at 7AM)

Brief Description:
DURATION:
The Life Time Fitness Indoor Triathlon features 60 minutes of competition for each participant plus an additional 15 minutes for transition between each leg of the event.

Prices:
LTF Member: $30.00
Non Member: $35.00

Race Course:
10 Minute Swim in Lap Pool
10 Minute Transition (Swim to Bike)
30 Minute Bike in Cycle Fitness Studio
5 Minute Transition (Bike to Run)
20 Minute Treadmill Run

Scoring:
Performance is measured by total distance covered during the three legs. The more distance you cover, the higher your score

Thanks for posting this. I've seen the signs and meant to look up more info. It would be a nice workout, but it seems to me the swim & to a certain extent, the run are meaningless as it's just total combined distance.

I think I'd bring a pillow and take a nap during transition

It does like fun, though.

I agree this does look interesting. If nothing else, it'd be a great way to re-acclimate to races after a few months off. But now the question becomes: F-1 Duathlon or indoor tri?? Hmmm.
