Sign me up for 12 stages.  Might be doing more in the end but I figure 3 times a week is good start.

Team doesn't matter either

I signed up earlier for 12 rides and this is also my first challenge. If you could advise on how challenge are ran, and details, would greatly appreciated. Looking forward. Seems we have a lot of high caliber triathletes on this site.

Cheers, and Happy Monday!!

Hi, I have friends in Seattle, the pics are great.  Mary was right, it really is pretty there.

See you on the bike challenge.  I saw your thing and thought it was interesting and so I looked at your blog.  Have a nice day.

To make it easy for everyone let me attempt to summarise the basics of how the challenge will run:

- The challenge is on for the Tour De France 7-29 July

- Each participant committs to riding a number of 'stages' (bike workouts) during this time frame. A stage is a minimum of 15 minutes on the bike.

- Each participant is part of a team, the winning team is determined by the team who achieves closest to 100% of their goal stages (anybody who exceeds their goal is just counted as 100%)

- Team are assigned at random although Im honouring all team requests where possible, and due to popular demand teams will be the same names as pro tour teams in the 2007 Tour De France peloton

- Teams are to nominate a team leader to provide updates of each team members progress weekly so we can track/announce how everyone is going

- Friendly banter, sledging etc is encouraged

- Inspiring your team mates, creating a team atmosphere, pedging allegiance in sig lines etc is all encouraged to keep everyone motivated towrads their goal

I will be announcing the team line ups on Wednesday AM (USA time) and the challenge will commence saturday. Anyone who signs up after Wednesday will be assigned to a team (Im trying to keep them balanced) or if we have enough I will start a new team

Hi - teams are going to be posted Wednesday AM (tomorrow for the USA/Europe ppl, Wednesday night for those Down Under)

I have all of the team requests to date and will PM anyone Im having trouble accomodating.

Based on the info I have about peoples commitments etc Im trying to keep the teams balanced in terms of numbers of riders and stages (if known)...

Anyone can join the challenge up to Saturday.. . and I will be keeping a close eye on the thread to make sure EVERYONE has a team before then!

Considering that I could really use some extra accountability to help meet my cycling goals, count me in too if there's still room on a team...
