Subject: OWS practice in Fort Collins area?

Does anyone know where one might practice OW swim in the Fort Collins-Loveland area? It seems the local lakes/reservoirs (Boyd, Horsetooth, Carter Lake) are not very swim-friendly. Any ideas are appreciated.

There are OWS practices held at Lake Loveland and Pelican Lake in Windsor.

I can't remember the information on the Pelican Lake swims, but you can sign up for the Lake Loveland swims here.

Wednesday nights at 6pm. They are $5 for non-Tri2 club members, plus the one-day USAT license for $10 (buy once and it's good for all sessions). The store 3xFast also rents out wetsuits at that time for either $5 or $10, I can't remember for sure. I haven't been to any yet, but plan to be there on August 8th. Perhaps I'll see you there.
