Subject: accurate calorie counter
I know that the only true way of knowing one's calories burned is to have a physiological test done. However, are there any good sites that would have a somewhat accurate calorie counter? I have been using the calorie king software to log my food intake, but when my weight changes (not the good way) it still says that I burn the same calories for the same amount of time. It also doesn't take into account age or gender. Any help would be delightful. Thanks!

Well I don't think any of them are super accurate, but I've been very happy using this one.  It worked well for me when I was dieting by counting calories in vs calories out.  I lost about 1 pound/week almost like clockwork.  This one does take into account gender and weight.    Now if I could just figure out how to make it tell me (130 lb woman) that I was burning as many calories as my husband (220 lb man).  Darn him for being able to eat way more than me.
