Had a very rough 1st mile, especially 1/4 to 3/4 mile. Felt better after that.

Practice transitions, and swimming.

Event comments:

The staggered start times screwed up their timing. They were unorganized with figuring out times after the 45 minutes of staggered starting. Everyone's watches were 30 seconds to 2 minutes off actual time.

Ok, glad I wasn't the only one that noticed a difference in time. My watch showed 1 min faster than the finish time they had. The start method at the pool definitely wasn't my most favorite.

Thanks PirateGirl. I checked out your race results and looks like you had a good time as well. This was also my second triathlon. I hope to do lots more. Signed up for another one in Scottsdale on Dec. 11th.

I have to say they really need to figure something out with the time. They were supposed to start people every 10 seconds, but accoding to my watch some were 12 seconds all the way to 14 seconds, add that between 250 people and the people at the end really get screwed. I started way in the back, number 207 so there was a lot of room for error. They were 1 minute and 7 seconds off on my time. Thanks again for the congrats, and maybe I'll see ya at a tri here in AZ some time, (or Rocky Point if your going).
