Pre-race routine:

Little taper. Two days off this week. One very hard one very easy.
Ate 650 calorie breakfast,(whole wheat bagel and high carb cereal) two and a half hours before race, it was way to much I cramped up half way through run it must have been the breakfast, I won't do that again.
Event warmup:

not much a little running around. It was too cold to get into the water. (I should have done it anyway, my swim was terrible.)

Comments:

cramped up half way through run ran anyway. Would have been faster if no cramps
What would you do differently?:

eat less for breakfast
Post race
Event comments:

times were not done very well. Everyone was off on there times by at least 30 secs. Robs was off by 2 min untill he showed them their math problems. Drink stations were unmanned so you would have had to stop and get it yourself (not a big deal in a sprint but not very good) Other than that it all went pretty good. Good course

Performance:
Terrible swim. I was expecting 7:00. They lined us up into groups 4-6 min, 7-9 min, 10-12min. I should probably have been in the 7-9 min but it was huge, and I didn't want to deal with that many people so I lined up in the 4-6 min group. It made me go a little faster than I should have, by the 4th turn I was breathing after every stroke. I didn't even keep freestyle by the end. I need to learn how to swim under pressure better.
