Sissy weights. Did everything I could remember. Got through pretty quickly.
Big Tuesday drop. I checked the waistline. Not much evidence of losing weight in the tale of the tape. I also checked the chest. I hadn't bothered with this before since my goal is just weight loss. 39 is what size jacket I always get. So that is still the same.
Sissy weights are feeling pretty easy. Some things are easier than others. I may get some 10 and 15 lb vinyl covered dumbbells so I can keep them in the bedroom.
Ran with my iPod for the Science thread. Lots of uncontrolled variables for me. Temperature is suddenly much warmer that last week which typically would slow me down. But then, I ran pretty hard, harder than usual probably because I was going to record the results. So the measurement affected the experiment in my case. Call it a wash. I will report last Monday and today which are both hard efforts with rest before.

Rode out TN61 to Laurel Road and back.
Sissy weights. Did most everything. I will need to go to 10 lb dumbbells soon.
Hey Weight. Come back here. You're going in the wrong direction. I'm doing things right. It's just a Monday.
I have a eye doctor's appointment to recheck my bifocals. What a geezer problem. It may be a problem that can't be fixed. I am just old and the range of focus is down to about nil. I need a different prescription for every situation.
But since I need to leave work early for the appointment, I will work through lunch and then ride my bike after the appointment. J has yoga this evening. My knee will benefit from another day of not running. Or, I could go for a swim for the first time in a long time.

Excellent meal at Pura Vida. The food was a bit salty and the attentive staff kept the water glass full so I came back up a few tenths.
We bought a microwave/convection oven to replace a dead microwave in the condo. I got the new one installed. Of course it was difficult and I had to buy most of the tools (several drill bits and a hand saw) but it is done. The one I removed was not installed correctly so I was glad I did it myself rather than hiring someone.
Sarah is off running now and I am hitting the road for Sunday evening with Mother.
My knee is feeling a bit of soreness. It is more rather than less than yesterday. I did not do any exercise today.

Rambling recreational ride through Buckhead neighborhoods.
Three glasses of wine. Check. One glass of water instead of two with supper. Check. Weight drops a bunch. Check. And, this weight was measured on the scales in Atlanta that may be different than in Oak Ridge.
I am planning a ride through the Buckhead neighborhoods today. It is cloudy but quite warm. I need to clean the bike chain but I don't have my gizmo in Atlanta.
The microwave is out in the apartment. I don't have much in the way of tools here. We have become microwave dependent.
Fun ride. I was curious to see all the houses and yards but Atlanta is hilly. A nice low granny gear on a triple means that I can go down a steep hill just to see what's there without struggling to grind my way back up. None of the hills was too challenging. There are some big houses on Cherokee Way. I also went throught Sherwood Forest neighborhood where President Obama was last night. It was quiet today.
We went to Billy Elliot at the Fox and to Pura Vida for supper. We know how to enjoy Atlanta.

Did a quick version of sissy weights. I could not get out of bed this morning. I awoke at 5 and got up at 7. J is in Atlanta awaiting the piano.
Ended the week at the same weight as last week. I drank a beer last night, but other than that, I thought I had a good week. Today's weight is below the trend line so I will keep the faith. Next week I hope to get a big step down.
Slow and easy run. It is warm today, 72 deg. I will have to start taking cold showers soon to cool off after running.
Janice said the dog is better. I'm going to Atlanta after all.

Carbide Park.
I have my bike at work. I will ride at lunch if the rain holds off. Light clouds and no wind at the moment. The showers may be more likely tonight and tomorrow.
The piano is leaving its home for the last 25 years in Oak Ridge and going on a new adventure in Atlanta. I hope Sarah really plays it (and that the neighbors don't mind.)
Nice solo ride. About the same time as when I rode with Mike P. I tried to stay in the drops most of the way. I think I have room for improvement. I really need to work on unloading weight from the pedals on the upstroke. I can feel myself accelerate when I concentrate on not working against my power stroke with back foot.

So I ran. It is gorgeous outside which influenced the decision. The day was prettier than I will ever be. That was worth 469 calories. Maybe I will ride the trainer a bit tonight too to press on the burn side of the calorie balance.
