Don't Suck
December 11
December 10
This is a fairly critical week workwise. We have a number of reports that need to be updated annually and we just found out that the deadline to have these done and approved is this Friday rather than the 31st as previously expected. If the reports aren't done, it goes on a past due list that goes straight to the top. It's not a list you want your name on. With that said, I'll work out when I can.
December 9
Apparently still dehydrated after sucking down water all day yesterday. Or maybe it was sleeping for 12 hours (fantastic) without any water. Anyway, I need to run a bunch of errands today, possibly including some Christmas shopping, and then I'd like to get back to the pool this afternoon/evening.
Got everything done, including all x-mas shopping except one gift I need to get online.
December 8
Fairly easy swim consisting mostly of drills. Was pretty tired though because of a lack of sleep last night. Did about 15' of core work after.
Went out last night and got home, went to bed and slept for about an hour then woke up coughing persistently enough that I couldn't get back to sleep. Ended up watching TV for a couple hours then slept a couple hours and was woken up by my friend's brother calling to ask if I could watch my friend's dog (he's out of town) so he could go skiing. No hope for going back to sleep then and I got a total of about 3 hours of sleep last night.
Weight and body fat is skewed b/c of dehydration.

Not sure what I'll do tonight. I may go swim again. I think I should probably start doing a lot of drills as I get back into it so I'm not completely messed up as I start putting in bigger yards once I start IM training in January.
Foot feels pretty good and I'm walking without any problems. I may try and run a couple miles on it this weekend, but may also decide to let it rest like I'm supposed to.
December 6
Got there a little late so it was just a quick set. Better than getting home and complacent while waiting for the class to end and not going at all. I definitely need to get in the water on a consistent basis now.
December 5
The doctor's appointment seemed to go well. He definitely said it's not broken, and doesn't think there's a stress fracture. He put pressure on each bone in my foot where I had identified pain and said that if there was a fracture, I'd be wincing. Instead, it just felt like he was pushing on my foot, which is probably good. I went and got an x-ray anyway and should know the results today. The doc thought that it may have just been jammed from running on it funny and said not to run for 7-10 days and take 600mg of ibuprofen 3x a day for that same time period, as well as ice and heat as necessary and see if it improves. If not, I'll go see a specialist. I can walk on it better today than yesterday but realized this morning that my dress shoes hurt more than barefoot or other shoes.
I doubt I'll have time tonight, but if I do I'd like to go swimming. It would be good to loosen up my legs some more and to get in the water again, which I need to do.
