Thanksgiving Day 5k run. New PR for the distance even though things didn't really go ideally. I forgot my Garmin, so I had no idea what my pace was, especially during that first mile when I wasn't sure if Ihad started out too hard or slow. I seeded myself too far back, so I spent too much time in the first mile running a non linear path around other runners and taking turns wide. The course also wasn't the flattest either. With all that said I'm pretty pleased. I now have a new goal for this distance: break 19 min.

Afterwards I walked up the course and met up with my wife, daughter and inlaws who were walking the 5k. Not too bad of a day for this event.

For some reason I was overtly obsessed with stroke my technique. I still enjoyed the swim and pushing the pace as much as I could.

Sunday - November 20

Try as I might, I couldn't work in any sort of exercise today. I did, however, get the last bit of yard work done for the year.

Had a good run while battling the strong wind. Ridiculously fast splits heading out without even trying. Of course the opposite was true heading home into the wind. Good times nonetheless.

Getting back to my swimming roots, apparel-wise. I'm ditching the jammers I've been training in for the last few years, which are starting to get a little worn, in favor of the box cut brief.
