Missed the tri group - didn't get the email that said they were going to a lake for an OWS. So I jumped on the treadmill for a short run.

All right, two days in a row I've woken up with back pain!  That's what I get for not being consistent with my training.  But I'm gonna push through it and eventually it'll go away, right? 

I've been awful about my training this year and this is what I've noticed:  I'm more tired, I've gained weight, and I've got aches and pains even if I don't work out!  I guess at my age (55), it's a constant battle just to stay "even" - where I'm not tired or in pain.  Granted today I've got pain from training Tuesday, but I know that'll go away.  But last week, I noticed that when I got up in the morning, I was achy and sore - in my shoulder, in my back, all over.  It really is amazing how regular exercise can make you feel better!   Now, if I could just keep that mantra in my head so that I get my butt out the door, right?

Awesome swim practice. I LOVE swimming with a coach .. it makes me motivated to not whimp out!

Okay .... so I've gone from being a whimp to doing a triple!!  Now I'm sore and whipped.  Probably won't do much of anything tomorrow!  haha  (I've got my granddaughter here tomorrow so if anything it'll be a trainer ride.)

The Y has an outdoor pool and it felt really good to swim in the sunshine!  Made me remember my high school days of swim team in Hawaii.  Sweet memories!
