12:34 PM: An awkwardly timed meeting this afternoon after meetings all AM means I can either do an abbreviated lifting workout right now, or wait til after 2pm. I doubt I'd be able to get reassembled in time to make it back up here by 1:30 PM. GRRRRRRRR. Will leave early and do it all after work. Ugh.

I am literally exhausted. Like blurry vision exhausted. I look like I haven't slept in a week. The word "Bedraggled" comes to mind.

Hmmmm. OK, maybe BEDRAGGLED isn't the best literal translation of how I look and feel. I'm not DIRTY, just tired and disheveled.

Regardless, I went to bed at 9:45 last night! Going to skip today's swim and rest. I want to get home at a decent hour, watch some TV, eat a leisurely dinner and maybe have a glass of wine. Then to bed early to hit Lift 2 and Run 3  tomorrow. *YAWN* Run 1 on Friday at lunch.

That will leave me with my long trainer ride on Sunday to sweat out my hangover after Saturday's GNO.

I somehow tweaked my calf walking down the stairs this morning. It started to feel like it was cramping, and then it just became painful. Feels like a REALLY sore muscle. WTF? Will still march on with today's planned workouts.


I just turned down a lunch invitation to do my lunchtime workout. I am a machine... or more accurately, I am PLANNING TO BE a machine. At lunchtime.

Wow. OK. So I'm gonna say that maybe the extra run is going to be optional. And maybe that extra swim will be a bonus Saturday. Don't know.

Also, strangely,  this particular week does not have a rest day built in. Hmmmm. I listed one, but I suppose that's optional too.

Plans with the girls on Saturday night. This may impact Sunday.

Chris is out of town from Tuesday thru Friday, so I won't feel the need to rush back home to have dinner and spend time with him. I can stay a little later @ the gym after work, try to knock some of these things off the list. 


Today = Lift 1 and Swim 1. Forge ever onward.

I'm currently in the process of getting Julie roped into Master's on Saturday AM. This is good. For both of us.

I am sore. Ridiculously sore. This is good. My quads are sore, my hamstrings are sore, my calves are sore... it's wonderful! The best thing is that I'm not JOINT sore, I'm MUSCLE sore and it's an entirely different thing.


Circling the wagons for a swim tomorrow mid morning and then LUNCHIE with my pals in Crystal Lake. We'll see how I do.


Mission Accomplished! Meeting my girls for a swimmy in Huntley at 10:50 AM tomorrow! I get to use a guest pass! Woot!
