'rest' day here. minneman sprint tomorrow morning. hiked over to an area park with the girls, had a picnic, made crowns out of clover chains. husband is heading home from work early. lots of packing left to do for our backpacking trip tomorrow after the race.

t1 = 7:09 getting rinsed off, gathering all my stuff, unlocking the bike...takes longer than i expected! bike time is the ride to the pool and back and includes waiting for lights.

yes, i finally got up early and did something for a change! we all woke up at 5:30am for some reason...good practice for all of us, since we'll all be heading to the race bright and early saturday morning!

well, it will be interesting to see if not doing anything for nearly a week, then doing a mini-tri 48 hours before the race, pays off. its finally cool and breezy here, so biking and running felt pretty good.

a whole lot of nothing this past week. one 3 mile run since last wednesday. hmmm. guess i need a kick in the butt. we have a bike ride planned for this afternoon (a tour of the new greenway in mpls), but its 50% chance of rain (yet again). if it rains, we're going goggle shopping! may pop the girls in the stroller and head out for a short run this morning.

supposed to swim and bike today. but neither happened. planning to do a longer ride with the girls and bill tomorrow, IF it doesn't rain.

was running pretty fast, but then ended up walking for a while because i had a major ab cramp. hot and humid today. yuck. amazing when a 3 mile run can feel worse than a 13 mile run. overall, my legs felt good though. first run since the 1/2 marathon. glad i finally got off my tush!
