I can't believe how worn out I am from hiking with the scouts, and I consider myself to be in pretty good shape. I wonder how they are feeling tonight after 6+ miles of rocky terrain?

Moving the bike till tomorrow (off day). I am doing a six mile hike with the Boy Scouts to help them get ready for our 50 miler in August. I will catch the swim after the hike.  Swim moved to Wednesday due to getting back too late.

Run felt REALLY great tonight. I can still feel a bit of a twinge in the ankle, but only after about 3 miles or so.

Planning on doing a run tonight. Ankle is still slightly swollen, but it held up really well at the race on Saturday. Left calf did some minor cramping about 3 miles into the bike, woke up to have that really sore today. I am just looking forward to getting back to my normal training routine. I felt really great in the swim Sat, but I am still so unsure about an OWS. I have an Olympic on May 12, 1500m OWS, that scares me to death. Hopefully, time in the lake between now and then will cure that.

Nice easy ride for my first day back after the sprain. Felt Really good.

I think I am taking the bike out tonight, just to make sure everything is lubed, tuned, shifting properly, ok, those are just excuses, I just want to ride. Probably 10-15 easy miles.

OWS at Lake Mead. I thought I was a pretty good swimmer till I went out there. Fortunately Jim came along for moral support. The waves were really ripping, and it was an odd sensation to swim in water that rough. I tired quickly, worked on sighting, and tried to do some drafting. Water was cold, and the wind was nasty. Good experience though. It helped me realize how much more OWS i need.

I am starting to get very stir crazy in wanting to go for a run or a bike ride. It has been a LONG 1.5 weeks of only swimming. While I have noticed an improvement of my swimming, I feel like my run is going to suffer badly at the race on Saturday. I never thought I would say this but.....I can't wait to go out for a run!

Guess whats planned for today?

Yep, SWIMMING!
