Recovery

Out and back to the docks with Cheng again. He ran the last leg of the marathon as a relay and did really well, so these lunch runs are helping him a lot!

Well, I think breakfast was a hit, but took longer than I thought.  Had to rush the last part so when I added the champagne to the lobster cream sauce it bubbled over the pot and got all over the range ..... oops!  Threw me off a bit, but I just rolled with it.  Made it easy on myself and just used the crepe filling to put in some omellettes for the kids so that they could have their breakfast.  Then I drove them to school to give Mir a little break (and since I gave her two Mimosas).  She said it was delicious.  I had a crepe as I made the kids their breakfast and it was definitely tasty!  Just a lot of work.

The recipe did say "expert" for level of difficulty, so I guess I did alright with it. ;)

The card I got her was hilarious.  On the outside it said: "For your birthday I just want to tuck you in bed tonight."  On the inside it said, "Oops, sorry about the typo."

Super easy recovery run. Just trying to get the blood flowing. Legs protested a bit in the beginning but felt okay as it went on. Crazy slow though .....

The swim actually felt pretty good to do and the legs were decent. They were much more loose at the end then when I got up today. Active recovery and all that. ;)

Legs are pretty sore, but I slept okay and have been able to walk alright.  No real plans to do anything today but may hop on the trainer for a 1/2 hour or so and do an easy spin to help things along for recovery.  I guess I'm officially in taper town for FL. ;)

Baltimore Marathon. Chip time from race tracking. Supposedly 124th overall, 23rd in AG.

5:30, wakey shakey hands off snakey.  Eating a Clif Bar and getting ready to drive to the city.

Uhhh, oops ..... didn't quite go as planned ....... seems I went and ran another BQ time ...... 3:14:50-ish ...... ;)

Easy loop around the neighborhood. Short and simple.

Heading over to the Expo. at lunch to get my race packet and tee for Baltimore.  Getting excited to race (or could that just be the Reeses cups I ate and 5 packets of sugar I put in my tea).

Oh, and today in the mail I got a plaque for "Age Group Winner" for the aqua velo.  That's cool because I didn't think there were any awards for it!
