feeling pretty decent

Planning on a run today.  I have to say these days I feel like a guy who used to do triathlons.  I mean all winter and spring I have not biked or swam or even had the desire. However, I am sensing a little inkling of desire lately. I enjoyed swimming last month in Florida and everytime I drive by a lake I think how it would be nice to go for a swim and I am seriously considering taking my bike off the trainer and heading out.  I think the key for me this year is if I do any races or training for tris that I do it completely for fun and not worry about results. Get back to why I got into it in the first place...without the open water freakouts.

Don't usually get to excited about my weight and it is generally pretty steady but the trend has been upward the last few months and today hit 159 (last year about 154) I realize that my volume has been down for running and non-existent for bike/swim, but I don't like it at all.  As I increase my volume (which I will), I am hopeful that the weight(loss) will follow.  I will run today.

UPDATE started creaky as expected, but finished well.

SOme pre-race, some post race.

Mission Accomplished.  11 minutes slower than last year and not a hint of disappointment.  Last year I was at the top of my game, this year I am climbing out from the bottom.  Actually very pleased with this.  Had fun and no sign of any injury.  Had a great time running this with Stacy(Lunatick).  Was great to see Gracia post race (I think she is making me a believer in Crossfit!).  I do love the trails and need to spend more time on them.
