Good effort today.I think this was a new 13.1 mile PR, but I am too lazy to check. I'll just say it was :)
Easy 2 hour swim with the wetsuit.
Then a 60 mile bike brick.
I got to the lake and ready to go. Apparently you need a bike for a bike ride. My bike is all shiny and new looking with new tubes and tires...just sitting at home, that's all :) I was starving anyway and had already mailed Oliveview my nutrition, so the only food I had in my car was a couple of payday bars and a few questionably old Gu's. So I am at home starting my packing.
I'll ride on Sunday after I swim buddy for the Mission Bay tri.
Yikes. I can see the green box...I think I am going to start a thread in Tri Talk for anyone that wants to track Tony (aluminum1) and my progress over the race. Also if you want to send emails to the race director to give to myself or Tony, you can send them to USAUltraTri@aol.com He doesn't want too many because he will only check it a couple of times a day and has a slow dial up connection, but I really did appreciate it during the double.
Run at lunch. Today for some reason I ran on the other side of the street. While I was running by the park I heard some yelling. I looked over and it was Lauren and her classmates. They were on a field trip. On one hand I was happy to see her on this run, but on the other, I must be pretty lame that I didn't even know she was on a field trip this close to work...
Ride after work:
Last taper week!
Swim1 x 2.5 hours. I had to stop a few times to adjust my goggles, but otherwise a straight swim.
