Awesome day today. Somehow I found my run mojo today and really surprised myself. I threw conservative out the door and just ran. What a way to cap off a great season. I will fill in some more later, but thanks to everyone for all the inspires, and thanks to Jonathan who came out and paced me in the last 2 miles.

Goals
1) Finish (around 4:30 ish)
2) 4:15 if I am feeling good
3) Super stretch goal 3:59 ( I have basically break my pace plan to do this, although I think I could possibly pull this off)
I am going conservative planning on about a 9:30 pace that will likely drop into 10:30 towards the 18 mile plus part. I want to get through injury free and focus on time for the next attempt. My body needs more time to adjust to big mileage. Weather will be perfect and the trees are in full fall colors. No matter what happens I will drag my ass across the finish line.

After yesterday's easy run, I now realize that my marathon wil be slow and painful. The hip issues will not likely aleve themselves by the weekend, which affects my biomechanics, which may lead to more issues around the 2nd half of the run. I will suck it up, and hopefully end up suprising myself a little.

MTB at big creek- 3 loops of varying difficulties
run after MTB ride. Hips still hurt- gonna have to deal I guess on saturday.
I am really enjoying the extra sleep I have gotten over the last 2 days. I will test out the hips today with a 40 minute run, they are feeling much better with the 4 days off from running.

trainer ride- big gear
I had a fun and relaxing weekend- just what I needed. The legs are feeling a little better, so I will do my scheduled taper runs. Now all I have to do is focus on nutrition and hydration for the rest of the week. It only makes sense that my legs were hurting after doubling my run volume in October.
