Legs took about 10 minutes to warm up and get the stiffness out from yesterday's ride, then they felt alive and great for the rest of the run! My average pace kept dropping because it just felt nice to run today. These training days make me happy :)
There were tons of people out enjoying the weather today, and I got to pet lots of wonderful dogs. There were even 2 Cody look alikes- 1 aussie and one berner! It was my lucky day :)

Went to the frigid pool and it took all my mental energy to stay in that water, despite the fact that I had goosebumps while swimming. I ended up doing almost straight sets, because every time I stopped at the wall, I had a HUGE urge to just jump out and run to the sauna. I even tried to bargain with myself- saying that I could pause my swim for 5 minutes, and sit in the sauna to warm up again. That pool is SOOO cold! I had a really great swim anyways, though, and felt like a superfish.

Nice long ride! The powertap wouldn't pick up, though, so I had to ride without power *gasp*! SOOoo weird! I rode in the area that has tons of hills, so it was good practice for my upcoming races. It was not as nice as the previous 2 weeks, and I was cold and soaking wet for the entire ride. Despite that, I finished the ride no problem, and felt strong all the way until the end. Yah!!

Friday - March 23

Go figure, 3 workouts yesterday = exhausted Alaina today. I woke up on time, even had 2 bowls of cereal, but I couldn't find any energy to go run, and was still starving, so I went back to sleep for another hour instead. Some days I can do it all, but some days it catches up to me.

Another gorgeous morning for a run! I didn't have a goal in mind when I started this run, but my legs felt surprisingly peppy after last nights trainer-torture, so I thought I'd push it a bit, and did 31 minutes at a 6:23 pace. I love the satisfaction of a good, hard run. Makes the rest of the day seem easy!
