Dream Big. Think Big. DO Big!

July 3

Run
  • 39m 10s
  • 4.25 miles
  • 09m 13s /Mi

1st half 20:20, 9:33 per mile.

2nd half 18:50, 8:50 per mile.

It took forever to get my HR up this morning. I find this to be a normal problem on early AM runs. Once my HR got up to the 140's I felt smoothe and fast, as indicated by my splits.

Not blazing fast, but a nice ride.

AVG speed slowed down by the hills on West Riverview Drive. Rode most of 1 loop of the old IMCDA course.

Took in 820 calories on the ride. A 400 calorie bottle of Powerade with soy protien, 1 gel flask, and 1 snack size 80 calorie Zone Perfect nutrition bar. Alternated off bottle and gel flask every 15 minutes, followed with water. Ate the bar at 2 hours for some chewing and texture.

Pre ride weight 208.5, post ride weight 208.5. Perfect.

I think I could have used a bit more water. Need to get aerobottle for calories and carry 2 water bottles in cages.

Max HR came on 1st West Riverview climb.

6 AM on Saturday morning and I am up getting ready for a 3 hour ride... what have I become?

Run
  • 58m 18s
  • 6.26 miles
  • 09m 18s /Mi

Felt rough entire run, never smooth.

I have been feeling a bit frustrated with my weight the last few days. I seem to be stuck at 209-210. I have lost a lot of fat in arms, chest, shoulders and legs and actually have some slight definition showing in those areas but my "middle section" still has the blubber. I would think if I could get rid of that my BF% would drop to 17% to 18%. What the heck does one have to do to melt this?

Swim
  • 42m 36s
  • 1700.00 yards
  • 02m 30s /100 yards

A bit slow today as I had to stop 3 times to fix leaking goggles and another time to fix velcro closure on wetsuit.

Time is real... distance is a total guess based on gear and HR, this was on the trainer. To much family going on right now so ride was from 10 to 11 PM on the trainer in the back yard.

I am managing our girls fastpitch softball tournament team and we are practicing from 5 to 9 all week long. Workout time could be at a premium this week. Didnt train yesterday and really, cant see it happening today either. I get really uptight when I am missing workouts like this, especially with my HIM looming in the not so distant future.
