Weird morning- lots of people at the gym, kicked off the treadmill after 30 min. so powerwalked on 12% incline on the ghetto treadmill you can't run on or else you get shin splints. Have weights tonight so I will finish up then. Hot and Humid here today (I love it!), everyone else is complaining. Got some some good streching in too. That's all for now-

Feeling strong! I worked my a$5 off today -hard! Really pushing it. Also concentrating on recovery, stretching and nutrition. Shoulder felt better later in the swim (weird). Very important mtg. at work today, could mean some changes coming soon (good I hope). Happy Hump Day BTers

Good brick w/ stretching after. Moving my swims to the end of the week to give the shoulder time to heal. It's already feeling better -may try it out tomorrow, we'll see. My gym peeps are being all supportive counting down the days and cheering me on -they're so nice. Getting very excited and nervous! 25 days to go!

Felt surprisingly good for having been road kill just yesterday. The only major residual effect from the crash seems to be a pretty sore and swollen shoulder an road rash on my shin and lower back/butt. Hubby worked on the bike -may not need to go to the LBS, but will have to try it out later this week. Day off tomorrow -boy do I need it! 27 days and counting...

Back from crash w/ broken bike

Well, experienced my first bike crash today. Luckily not w/ a car but another biker head on at about 18 mph. A blind corner and a 12 year old speed demon biking in the wrong lane in the wrong direction. Bike is broken so I had to walk back home about 5 miles w/ some major road rash and  a huge headache. I had on a helmet but smacked the back of my head pretty hard on concrete. Took lots of IB, hot bath and just have the family wake me up a few times tonight to make sure I'm OK.

Still plan on working out tomorrow, but something tells me I may feel much worse in the morning so we'll see. I'm starting to think there is a conspiracy to keep me from my first tri

No hip pain -raised the seat on the spinner today and no problems -hopefully this is the solution! SO my gym pet peeve of the day - story about the woman handing out training tips this morning (rant ahead -beware).

WHY do some people think they need to tell other people how to train "correctly". First of all IF someone wanted your advice they'd ask for it. Second, if you are going to ACT like a trainer at least have a body like one -why should someone take your advice when you look like you look like the pilsbury dough boy. And third - the 80 year old lady who comes to the gym everyday is doing just fine without a  speech on "form", she's doing good just getting here and the last thing she needs is someone scaring her out of working out -UHG! People! OK -rant over now...carry on!
