another windy run!  But when I thought I was going to stop and walk I just told myself got to keep moving along and that I did LOL.  I did not go to the gym and swim this am. My throat is still a bit rough in the am and until that goes away I am not wanting to go jump in the pool. I could  see it now having a coughing attack in the pool and taking in all that lovely  pool water LOL.  So I will see how I see how the throat feels tonight that will give me a little idea of tomorrow morning.  Nice weather out today besides the WIND

Went to the gym this Easter AM. not many there so it was nice.  Still getting over the cold it really isn't to bad but still cough a little and at time nose and throat are dry.  I amhoping to get out on my bike later today. I am so excited to start riding!

 

I got in my first ride of the season YAHOO a wopping 30 minute ride. Just wanted to test out the bike and make sure all is good to go. Only thing that I feel is off is my computer so need to check it out and might have to get it looked at. The speed it read today I feel was off. Otherwise the ride around the area was nice. I felt lite on the bike like maybe I just might get even stronger legs with biking and running LOL :)

Running drill with CWW

This was fun. We started in the field house at DU warming up doing stretched, then we ran over to south high school and we did drills. First part you skip maybe 50 yrds, Then you do a reg run with good form to the next cone, then but kicks for 50 yds, then reg run. that is one lap doing that drill.

Next lap you start out with what we call high knee ups 50 yrs, then do reg run 50 yrds. then you do a real fast like run small steps 50 yrds then reg form run for 50 yrs. Might sound sort a complicated but if you seen what you do you would understand. After that then a cool down run back over to the field house. By the time we finished I was pretty warmed up and felt fine not to tired at all, Proably could of done a 2-3 mile run after that. But still getting over my cold sot hought best just head towards home.

was windy again but at least the sun was out. I would run then at times I would speed up and then slow back down and then speed up sort a made a game out of it. Throat a bit dry still and nose too. But overall getting a little better after being down with the cold. Tomorrow is run drill practice at DU that should be fun. I also want to try and get on my bike but that might be Sun as tomorrow might get some rain

    golden river run

    Went to the River run trail with some of the girls from work. I felt it was a good run considering I am stillnot 100% over the cold yet. will write more tonight to update this. OK I am back it was the first da of Spring so rather nice along the trail. My nose and mouth are pretty dry do to the cold but it is getting better.  I have run drills clinic tomorrow so that will be good. hard to believe this weekend is Easter all ready

    first time out for a run since the cold. I just did part of Rooney road that was not the up hill part LOL. it was real windy but temps were fine. It actually felt pretty good when I got done I coughed a little bit but overall not to bad. It is hard for me to beleive that not running for like 11 days is the longest I have ever taken off from my runs WOW. but hey sometimes life happens in betwen runs LOL :)
