happy New Year....everyone! Today starts the year off with a rest day. I will probably do rest days every other day until Disney next weekend! Want to get there with fresh legs.

Ran in New Jersey...very Hilly heighborhood.

Well two straight days of no workouts. I did stretc and foam roller yesterday. I also went and played poker yesterday and won $500 as I came in second place. First place was $1025. I'm happy with second as the guy that won had about 4 times as many chips as I did when we went heads up. Today is 90 minute trainer ride this morning....then heading to New Jersey for New Years Eve. Will run 3 or 4 miles once I get down there in early afternoon. I am looking forward to 2007.

Rest day today. I thought I was pretty recovered from 18 mile run on Monday, but Brutus my Foam roller tells me different....Ouch! Many sore trigger points still.

Ended up doing 4 miles at nice and easy pace at lunch.

Today is a 5 mile easy run at lunch today. Weather is pretty nice....sunny, no wind and about 42 degrees. I have made an executive desision and will wear my Asic 2110's for the marathon. I think the added cushioning will far out way the couple of ounces i am giving up with the Gel Kayano's.

24 minute run at lunch with karen....quads still sore from 18 miler so kinda shuffled along.

ITS OFFICIAL.....signed up Karen and myself for the Philly OLY distance TRI for June 2007. This will be the first time either of us has been to Philly. We will probably make a 4 day weekend out of the trip.

Rest / Recovery day. Feel pretty good after 18 miler yesterday....the best news was my body didn't shut down at all and NO pain around the knee (ITB issues). may have been do to the water and accelerade I took in throughout the miles which seemed to really help.
