Lunch run along coast. Started off light rain and windy. Mid to upper 60 degrees. I turned around a little early since the rain and wind started to pick up. Heavy rain and very windy when I finished. I was cold and soaked. I guess not EVERY day is sunny and 70 degrees here in San Diego, just most of them. ;-)

Raining! It has been so long! Lots of rain and high winds. I may skip the outside run at lunch and run on the treadmill at the gym instead this afternoon if it is still heavy rain.

I am going to Detroit next week for a short work trip. I need to go to a site that is having some issues to get things resolved and also conduct a Quality Control Visit on a CRA while she is monitoring the site. Will do both during this visit and make it as short a trip as possible.

Did NOTHING yesterday. I have been starting to have more anxiety lately. :-(

Morning swim at LA Fitness. The change is official. I was annoyed at the membership department when I went to cancel my Y member ship on Friday. I explained the situation (lifeguard issue at 5:00am swim). They acted like this is the first they have hear about this and tried to tell me that the the lifeguard not showing up on Friday morning was a rare thing. I told them that it was also Tuesday this week, one day last week, and so on. I explained that there were many of us that have discussed this issue with the morning manager and also with the aquatics director. This issue had been really bad about 6 several months ago, but improved. Recently, however, we are back to the same pattern of at least 1 day a week. I asked if I stayed a member would they credit my membership cost for each 5:00am swim where there was not enough lifeguards?. They didn't respond to this and just processed my cancellation. hahaha.
Water temp at LA Fitness is warm, but I will deal with it. Saving over $20 a month and will not deal with the lifeguard issues.

I drove the 30 minutes down to Mission Bay for long run today, but there was some event going on this morning. I could see the fully parking lot and lines of cars as I approached the highway exit. There was a long line to turn right (toward the Bay) off the exit. I didn't wait and instead turned left and drive north back to Encinitas. Lots of fog this morning. By the time I got home I was grump and decided to not run. Feeling tired. It has been a rough week back at work I am am feeling drained. Maybe I will run or go to the gym later today, or maybe this will end up being a rest day.

As of yesterday evening, I canceled my YMCA membership and joined LA Fitness. Not looking to the warm pool water, but looking forward to being able to swim without needed lifeguards.
